Curation – ‘What We Learnt from the Desert'(2023)

‘What We Learnt from the Desert’ exhibition, St Mary’s Church Wirksworth, Wirksworth Festival, UK, 2023 – This exhibition is a collection of works, curated by myself, by creatives from the University of Derby who went to Nevada in January 2023. A month long creative trip seeing the bright lights and peaceful deserts of Vegas. Producing works ranging from photography to sculpture to painting to graphic design, we are exploring what our month in Las Vegas meant to us, the memories we shared, the sights we saw, and most importantly, the things we learnt. This is a continuation of previous exhibitions ‘What We Left in The Desert’ (2023) and ‘How Love Lives in Two Places’ (2023), expanding on what we did previously and reflecting on that time in Nevada.
